With many issues at stake–from rural health care to HBCU funding, voters, residents, and community leaders are encouraged to attend and share their vision for what true representation should look like in the 7th Congressional District. Hosted by Tennessee State Senator Charlane Oliver, this event is a platform for community members to reflect, strategize, and discuss what kind of leadership is needed to represent District 7 in Congress following Congressman Mark Green’s resignation, which becomes effective July 20th.
This is not a candidate debate. No declared or rumored candidates will be speaking. Instead, this community forum is designed to listen to the locals with an open audience Q&A to gauge voter sentiment about the Democratic primary race. Attendees will also hear from a dynamic slate of speakers, including former CD7 Democratic Nominee Odessa Kelly. This forum is free and open to the public.
